 K4-K5 This is a combination classroom for children that turn 4 years of age by August 15 and 5 years of age by August 15. The curriculum that is followed is that recommended by the Southern Union of Seventh-day Adventists.A thematic Bible-based program is used to incorporate the Bible with the monthly themes. A focus on literacy is incorporated through Shared Reading, Read Aloud, and centers which focus on developing early reading skills. Phonics is emphasized with the use of Fundations, a program which introduces the alphabet is a systematic way that also incorporates beginning letter formation using tactile and kinesthetic methods. |
